Results, Appeals and Certificates 2021
Moor End Academy has determined grades in accordance with the JCQ guidance and has submitted these grades to the relevant awarding organisation by the required deadline.

The results will be issued on candidate statements of results (results slips) and certificates, grades will be reported in the same way as in previous years.
Results will be issued on results day in August as follows:

Arrangements for results day
You are to enter academy grounds through the pedestrian gates on Dryclough Road, and make your way down to the MFL (languages) Portakabin at your allocated time, please see table below. We will be operating a one-way system in the unit which will be clearly signposted, make your way to the classroom on the right L2 and through the back to classroom L1 where post 16 advice will be available from the Careers Service and Ms Greaves, Had of Year 11.
The main academy building will not be accessible due to ongoing construction works on academy grounds.
You will be expected to be considerate of other members of the academy and local community when travelling to and from the academy and adhere to current government social distancing measures which are applicable at the time. Whilst these restrictions may no longer be in place students are encouraged to socially distance and wear face coverings whilst on the academy site.

Your results will be supplied in a sealed envelope. Please note that examination board protocols stipulate that results must be handed directly to the student and will not be handed to friends, parent/carers or any other third party unless prior arrangements have been made in writing before the end of term to Mrs Bhullar, Exams Officer. This written consent should include the name of the person collecting and their relationship to yourself. They will need to bring with them photo identification to confirm their identity. Should you need this service please note that collection of results by a third party will be after 1pm.

Concerns about your results
When you receive your results, if you think that a grade is wrong, your first step should be to speak to Mrs Bhullar, Mr Wilson or Miss Stokes for advice. There will be an interactive form that can be completed if you require a call back to discuss any concerns whilst the academy is closed.

Certificates, when received from the awarding organisations, will be issued to you either during Presentation Evening or by invitation to collect directly from school. Certificates must be collected within a year from results being issued or they may be sent back to the awarding body and you may be charged for delivery.
Please note your name on your certificates will be as previous candidate statement Legal Forename and Surname only, if you have any concerns or wish to have your middle name included speak to Mrs Bhullar asap, once certificates have been issued the name change will be chargeable to you by the exam board.
