Pathways Evening
Thursday 14th March 2024

This year we will be using Options Online for students (supported by parent/carers) to make their subject selections. Please use the time between now and subject selection to look at the subject videos in areas that you are interested in, alongside the Pathways booklet that will be made available online shortly. Students will be helped to register for the system during IT lessons starting week commencing 19th Feb & w/c 26th Feb. Students will receive a letter advising them of the Pathway they have been allocated w/c 4th March and the system will go live later that week to allow selections to be made. The deadline for selections is 22nd March 2024. Guidance relating to the evening and the Options Online system will be available w/c 4th March 2024.

Pathways Timeline

Pathways Assembly /Tutor Time Students will have a presentation and support on the Pathways process	February 2024
Students activate their Options Online accounts	Week commencing 19th February & w/c 26th February
Pathways Evening Introduction & Subjects: Parent/carers and students are invited to attend a presentation on the Pathways process with Miss Conway & Mrs Edwards in the Lecture Theatre and then have the opportunity to visit subject areas to discuss Key Stage 4 courses on offer for 'Optional ' subjects. We are also offering a drop in session for parent/carers and students to seek support in completing the online form in various locations including the MZone.	14th March 2024 Options Online how to guide
Pathways Final Decisions Students will need to submit their Key Stage 4 options form by this date. Students who require more time should see Mrs Edwards to discuss an extension. Late submissions may lead to students not getting their options choices.	22nd March 2024
Confirmation of Options Choices	Late June 2024
Start of Key Stage 4 Courses	September 2024
Completion of Key Stage 4 Courses Students will finish their Key Stage 4 courses and take their terminal Key Stage 4 examinations.	May/June 2026
