Quality in Careers Standard

Moor End Academy has been awarded the Quality in Careers Standard for its career’s education, information, advice and guidance provision.

On the 19th July 2022 we were visited by Beverley Thomas who completed our assessment for Quality in Careers Education. The day comprised of Beverley working with a range of MEA staff to evaluate how effectively the 8 Gatsby benchmarks are implemented. Beverly commented on how impressed she was at the school’s ability to link careers to the taught and wider curriculum. Students are open to and receive careers input from years 7 to year 11. During the visit, Beverley was also able to meet students and listen to their experiences of careers input in their own words. Overall, it was a fantastic day and we are proud to once again have achieved the award!
